To understand the current mess, pay attention to state-by-state polls. In particular, Florida and Ohio. We have plenty of polling on the former, very little on the latter. Trump has been consistently leading by large margins in Florida. We have one recent poll in Ohio, with Trump holding a slight lead over Kasich. After Super Tuesday, which way do you think those numbers are going to move, if at all?
The brokered convention strategy seems to have revived Trump denialism.
To quote Philip K Dick, "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away."
Trump is reality. He won't go away.
