As long as I am commenting on the Democratic contest, it is worth pointing out that the current level of animosity between HRC and Sanders is nothing compared to the Republicans.
The current spat seems to be about who is and who is not qualified to be president.
Nobody is qualified to be president. There is no job like it. There is no job with the same pressures, responsibilities, powers, etc. Certain types of experiences are better than others, but a lot of it is just how you respond under pressure. And it is a level of pressure unknown to anyone other than former presidents.
While the ongoing contest between Clinton and Sanders worries some Democrats because the loser is giving ammunition to the general election opponent of the winner, this is nothing.
You want to see what a nasty primary looks like? Trump and Cruz make an issue of each others' wives. Ain't no comin' back from that. The current Democratic contest is no more divisive than any other past primary. The Republican contest is.
And that's why the betting odds favor the Democrats right now.
